No. 2473 <br /> <br />Ordering Street <br /> <br />Supt. to Abate Weeds. <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />of the <br /> <br />of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> honesty, integrity and wholehearted devotion of Doctor <br /> Frances E. Townsend and his co-leaders and followers to this <br /> great economic and humanitarian movement. The resolution <br /> was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2472 and <br /> passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Plummet W. Bruns; Joseph P. Smith, W. H. <br /> Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br /> Copies of Resolution No. 2472 were ordered sent to President <br /> Roosevelt, Senators Johnson and McAdoo and Congressman Sam L <br /> Collins. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the demand of William Griset for the sum of $500.00 for <br />alleged damages to growing crops on 121 lots claimed to be <br />under his possession, was referred to the City Attorney. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />a Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "A Resolution ordering the Street Superintendent to abate <br />the publi~ nuisance heretofore declared by the City Council <br />of the City of Santa Ana to exist in the City of Santa Ana, <br />to-wit: Weeds which bear seeds of,a wingy or downy nature <br />and attain such a large Erowth as to become a fire menace whel <br />dry and which are noxious and dangerous, growing upon certain <br />streets, sidewalks and private property in the City of Santa <br />Ana, by having the weeds referred to removed." <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2~73 and <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees Plummer W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, W. H. <br /> Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C.
