Sand Blasting Co. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Appointment <br /> <br />Johnnie Nartin. <br /> <br /> referred to the Clerk and Chief of Police to enforce any <br /> Ordinance being violated. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> the application of the Veterans of Foreign Wars for permis- <br /> sion to solicit funds through the sale of poppies on the <br /> §treets, Hay ~3rd, 1938, was granted on recommendation of the <br /> committoe appointed to investigate. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the conm~ittee report on the extension and widening of Flower <br />Street recommending that immediate steps be taken to insti- <br />tute set back restrictions from Washington to Seventeenth <br />Street and that the City Engineer investigate the possibility <br />of making application for Federal Funds with which to open <br />a rig~ht-of-way at the southerly end of said street as far as <br />Delhi Road and recommending that the extension of Fourth <br />Street be taken under advisement, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the matter with reference to the business of the Orange <br /> <br />Sand Blasting Company at 817½ E. Fourth Street, was referred <br />to the Police Commissioner and Chie~f ~nd City Attorney to <br />investigate and report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />Johnnie Martin was appointed a special police officer of the <br />City of Santa Ana tO serve without pay. <br /> <br />In Re On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />City of Santa Ana the ~ayor, Trustees Layton and Penn were appointed as a <br /> <br />00th Anniversary Incorporation.committee to work in conjunction with the City Service Clubs <br /> to plan the celebration of the City of Santa Ana's Fiftieth <br /> Anniversary Incorporation and that they have full power to <br /> act in this matter. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the City Council adjourned. <br /> <br />APPROVED: <br /> <br />~ayor of th~City of Santa Ana. <br /> <br />City ~le~k. <br /> <br /> <br />
