No. 246~ <br /> <br />Agreement Authorizing <br /> <br />Rt-of-way for Storm Drain. <br /> <br />acknowledged and ordered placed on file. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by B~uns and carried, <br />the City Auditor was directed to communicate with the Divi- <br />sion of Highways and obtain a financial statement of the one- <br />quarter cent Gas Tax ~elative to expenditures on State High- <br />ways and Streets of Major Importance in the City of SantaAna. <br /> <br />On motion ef Trustee Layton, second.d by Brans and carried, <br />the matter with reference to W.P.A. Project to eonstruot'a <br />band stand in Birch Park was referred back to the Forestr~ <br />Board for further consideration. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the City Engineer and Attorney were directed to take steps <br />to acquire property for the opening of blind alley between <br />Russell and Wilshire Streets and if possible to use funds <br />from the one-quarter cent gas tax. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the City Engineer was authorized tc proceed with W.P.A. Pro- <br />Ject No. 3249 covering the improvement of parks and parkways <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the report of the committee relative to securing extension o~ <br />option on the Tiede property, for park purposes, located at <br />the northwest corner cf Flower and Washington Avenue, was <br />approved and committee discharged. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion cf Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the standing armory committee, composed of Mayor Rowland, <br />Trustees Smith and Penn, be appointed am a committee on parks <br />and authorized to attempt to secure a still further extension <br />of option on the Tiede property for thirty days. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> <br />a Resolution was introduced authorizing the Mayor and City <br />Clerk to execute certain ag~eem, nt dated February 3rd, 19S6, <br />between the Newbert Protection District, party of the first <br />part, and the Orange Co~ty Flood Control District and the <br />City of Santa Ana as parties of the second part, covering a <br />perpetual easement cna 14 foot strip of land located in <br />Section 2, Township § South, Range 10 West, S.B.B. & M. a <br />copy cf which agreement is on file in the office of the City <br />Clerk. The resolution was read, considered, designated <br />Resolution Nc. 2466 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> A~es, Trustees Joseph P. Smith, Plummet W.
