Santa Ana City Hall. February 3rd, !936. 7:30 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Rowland. Present: Trustees Joseph P. Smi'th, Plnmmer W. Bruns, W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. Absent: Trustees None. Minutes of meetings of January 20th and 2?th were approved as read. In Re Signs--United Brethern Church. In Re Electric Sign. In Re Electric Sign. In Re Monthly Reports. In Re Warrants. In Re Communications Dept. of Public Works. ~n Re Agreements on Expenditures ~ Gas Tax. On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the application of Henry H. Sands to place two wood signs advertising the location of the United Brethern ChurCh, to be located at the northwest corner of First and Shelton Streets and the southwest corner of Fourth and Shelton Streets, was granted. # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, the application of the MacFarlane Electric for a permit to hang and electric sign for the E1 Prado at 31§ N. Sycamore Street was granted under the supervision of the Electric Inspector. # On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, th, application of C. M. Trusty & Sons for permission to hang a flat electric sign for the Gohres Electric Service at ll6 E. Fifth Street and permit to be issued when approved~y the Electrical Inspector. # On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the monthly reports of the city officers for the month of January were referred to the Finance Committee. # On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the Clerk was instructed to draw warrants according to the monthly demands audited by the Finance Committee, numbering from fifteen hundred sixty-eight to seventeen hundred sixty- tWO. # On motion of Trustee Stuns, seconded by Layton and carried, the communications from the Department of Public Work~ rela- tive to additional revenue to be received and Allocated from the one-quarter cent for State Highways AsA and Major Streets in the City, were # in the City of Santa r~ceived and filed.
