First <br /> Street, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and ca~_.ried, <br />the application of the Powell Neon Sign Company for a permit <br />to hang an electric sign on private property of M.R. Kellogg <br />at 410 Roe Drive, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the applications of Electrical Contractors for permits to <br />hang electric signs for Krieger's Shoe Store at ll~ E. Fourt~ <br />Street and Walker's Liquor Store at 503 N. ~%ain Street, were <br />granted under supervision of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee BrunS, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the application of Arthur L. Johnson for a peNait to drive a <br />taxicab for the Courtesy Cab Company as extra driver, was <br />granted on recommendation of the Taxicab Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the application of the Southern California Ornamental Bench <br />and Garden Supply Company for an exclusive franchise to place <br />and maintain two hundred or lees benches for the convenience <br />of the public, at such locations as regulated by the Street <br />Department for a period of two years, was referred to the <br />Street Commissioner for study and report back. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the quarterly report of the Orange County Health Department <br />for July, August and September, 1936, was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the monthly reports of the various city officers for the <br />month of October, 1936, were referred to Finance Committee. <br /> <br /> <br />
