No. 2502 <br /> <br /> 'edestrlan Crossings. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the communication of the Santa Ana Co-ordinating Council <br />inviting the Council to attend their meeting in the Council <br /> <br />Chamber of the Santa Ana City Hall, <br />was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, <br /> <br />November 19th at 7:30 P.M <br /> <br />seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> <br />the communication of Mrs. R.G. Tuthi!l, Chairman of Public <br />Affairs of the Ebell Club, relative to starting a campaign <br />for planting poppies on vacant lots and in unsightly parking <br />in the City, was referred to the Forestry Board with power <br />to act.' <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the petition of property owners on North Broadway between <br />Seventeen~and Nineteenth Streets to rezone portion of said <br />street for apartment and office purposes, was referred to <br />the Planning Commission for recommendation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the voucher in amount of $225.51 of the Pacific Electric <br />Railway Company covering franchise tax for year ending <br />November 7, 1936, was received and the Clerk authorized to <br />deposit same. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the application of D. W. Scott for permission to widen one <br />driveway four feet at his place of business, 2209 N. }~ain <br /> <br />Street, was referred to the Street <br />Engineer with power to act. <br /> <br />Commissioner and City <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, the <br />applications of Electrical Contractors for permits to hang <br />electric sigms, were granted subject to the approval of the <br />Electrical Inspector and to be hung under his supervision at <br /> <br />the following locations: <br /> <br />E. N. Lane 407 N. Broadway <br />Blu-Note Music Co. 420 W. Fourth Street <br />George Dunton 810 N. Main Street <br />Betty's Cafe 122 N. Sycamore St. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, <br /> <br />seconted by Layton and carried, <br /> <br />a Resolution establishing pedestrian crossings and marked <br />"Cross-Walk" on Main Street between Ninth and Tenth Streets, <br />on West Fourth Street between Ross and Birch Streets and on <br />North Broadway between Sixth and Church Streets, was read, <br />considered, designated Resolution No. 2502 and passed by the <br /> <br />following vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
