BESOLUTION NO. 5~-113 AMENDING SECTIONS 2 AND 3 OF <br />RESOLUTION NO. 51-14 AS AMENDED ENTIT~D "RESOLUTION ESTA- <br />BLISHING A BASIC COMPENSATION PLAN FOR CERTAIN CLASSES OF <br />EMPLOYMENT IN T~E MUNICIPAL SERVICE OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br />A1TA~ AND ESTABLISHING REGULATIONS FOR '£~4E PLACEMENT OF <br />PRESENT EMPLOYEES WITHIN THE WAGE AND SALARY SCHEDULES <br />PROVIDED". <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, on December 26, 1951, the Board of Trustees of the City of <br /> <br />Santa Ana passed and adopted Resolution No. 511~ establishing a basic compen- <br />sation plan for certain classes of employment in the service of the City of <br />Santa Aha; and <br /> <br /> WHEHEAS, the general level of wages and the costs of goods and services <br />in the area of Santa Ana have increased to a degree making it desirable to adjust <br />said basic compensation plan and the City of Santa Ana has determined that it is <br />in the best interests of said City to adjust the schedule numbers and make <br />certain additions to the list of class titles; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ~ESOLVED: That Section 2 of Resolution No. 5114 <br />be and the same is hereby amended to read as follows: <br /> <br /> "Section 2: Salary and Wa~e Schedules. The following salary and wage <br />schedules s~ball constitute the basic compensation plan consisting of five (5) <br />steps or rates of pay in each schedule. The respective schedules shall be <br />identified by number and the steps by the letters A to E inclusive. The <br />columnar headings at the top of each columm shall establish the purpose of each <br />step and the length of service required for advancement to the next higher step <br />as provided in Section 7 hereof. <br /> <br /> <br />
