Counci I Chambers <br /> Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> February 1st, 1937. ?:30 P.~. <br />City Council met in regular session. <br />~eetlng called to order by ~yor Rowland. <br />Present: Trustees Plunmuer W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, <br />W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. <br />Absent: Trus tees None. <br />Each Trustee having received a copy of the Ninutes, <br />f~ther reading of the Ninutes of J~nuary 18th, <br />was dispensed with and the ~inutes approved on motion <br />of Trustee Layton, seconded by Brans and carried. <br /> <br /> In Re No written or oral protests ~z~ving been received, on motion <br /> Application of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the applica- <br /> H. E. Harrigan. tion of H. E. Harrigan for per~uission to erect a duplex at <br /> 1~8 Cypress Avenue, was referred to the Planning Conmission. <br /> On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of <br /> Truetee Penn, seconded by Lsyton and carried, the application <br /> of H. E. Harrigan to erect a duplex at l&~8 Cypress Avenue, <br /> was granted under special uses. <br /> In Re No ~itten or oral protests having been received, on motion <br /> P~zoning N. Broadway of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the petition <br /> bet. 19th and ~0th Sts. of property owners for the rezoning of N. Broadway between <br /> l~th and ~0th Streets to First Class Apartment House Zone, <br /> was referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> On recom~endation of the Planning Commission and on motion of <br /> Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the petition of proper~ <br /> owners for the rezoning of N. Broadway between 19th and ~0th <br /> Streets to First Class Apartment House Zone, was gr~.~nted and <br /> the City Attorney was instructed to draft an Ordinance <br /> changing the zone as granted. <br /> In Re No written or oral protests having been received, on motion <br /> Application of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the ap~li- <br /> Home Oil Co. cation of the Home 0il Company for a perm~it to construct a <br /> service station at the northeast corner of N~in and Chestnut <br /> Streets, was referred to the Planning Commission. <br /> On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion <br /> Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, the application <br /> of the Home 0il Company was g~anted under special uses. <br /> ~n Re Written protest~ against and petitions favoring the applica- <br /> Application tion of Emma <br /> Emma N.
