Counci I Chambers Santa Ana City Hall. February 1st, 1937. ?:30 P.~. City Council met in regular session. ~eetlng called to order by ~yor Rowland. Present: Trustees Plunmuer W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. Absent: Trus tees None. Each Trustee having received a copy of the Ninutes, f~ther reading of the Ninutes of J~nuary 18th, was dispensed with and the ~inutes approved on motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Brans and carried. In Re No written or oral protests ~z~ving been received, on motion Application of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the applica- H. E. Harrigan. tion of H. E. Harrigan for per~uission to erect a duplex at 1~8 Cypress Avenue, was referred to the Planning Conmission. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Truetee Penn, seconded by Lsyton and carried, the application of H. E. Harrigan to erect a duplex at l&~8 Cypress Avenue, was granted under special uses. In Re No ~itten or oral protests having been received, on motion P~zoning N. Broadway of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the petition bet. 19th and ~0th Sts. of property owners for the rezoning of N. Broadway between l~th and ~0th Streets to First Class Apartment House Zone, was referred to the Planning Commission. On recom~endation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the petition of proper~ owners for the rezoning of N. Broadway between 19th and ~0th Streets to First Class Apartment House Zone, was gr~.~nted and the City Attorney was instructed to draft an Ordinance changing the zone as granted.
