McCullough.to erect a mortuary at the sout~vest <br /> corner of Seventeenth and Sycamore Streets, was granted. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br /> the application Of Ivie Stein, Chairman of the Retail Divisio <br /> of the Chamber of Commerce, for permission to install two <br /> cloth signs above the streets to advertise Santa Ana Dollar <br /> Day, February 13th, was referred to the Police Commissioner <br /> and Chief with power to act. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, the <br /> <br /> application of Harry S. Pickard, Chairman of Citizens Commit- <br /> w~s granted <br /> tee,/for permission to sell tickets in Santa Ana for the <br /> <br />Ninth Annual Military Ball, under the auspices of the Jack <br />Fisher Chapter, Disable~American Veterans of the World War. <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the application of Evan Jones for a permit to conduct an auto <br />camp on the following described property: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point in the center line of Main Street, <br />bearing South 0° 45' West 464.10 feet from the Northeast cor- <br />ner of Section One (1), Township 5 South, Range l0 West, <br />S.B.B. & M.; thence South 86° 44' West ~3.82 feet; thence <br />South 33° 45~ East 74.85 feet; thence South 52° 04' 15" East <br />132.64 feet; thence South 55° 33' 20" East 26.36 feet; thence <br />North 89° 45' East 173 feet to the center line of Main Street~ <br />thence North 0° ~5~ East 177.60 feet, more or less, to the <br />point of beginning. <br /> <br />was referred to the Planning Commission for recommendation. <br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of <br />Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the property des- <br />cribed above was ordered posted for special uses and the' <br />hearing date set February 15th, 1937, in compliance, with the <br />application of Evan Jones to conduct an auto camp. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the application of Mrs. Margaret Carl to have the property <br />at the southeast corner of First and Van Ness Avenue rezoned <br />to permit the ~rection of an apartment house, was referred to <br />ths Planning Commission. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of <br />Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, action on the <br />application of MrsL Margaret Carl was deferred for two weeks, <br />until plans are submitted covering construction of the pro- <br />posed apartment house. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />Map Tract #1012 for the improvment of a portion of the Tiede <br />property at Flower and Washington Avenue, was referred back <br />to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br /> <br />
