On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, application of the Shannon Funeral Home was denied. Roll Call: Ayes, Trustees: ptummer ~. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, W.H.Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowlaud. Noes, Trustees: None. Absent, Trustees: None. On motion of Trustee Penn,~seconded by Layton and carried, petition of property owners on the west side of No. Flower St. for a set-back survey on said street betwee 8th and Washington Ave. for future widening and straightening ~f No. Flower St. WaS taken under advise ment un,ill March 15th. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, petition signed by property owners on No. Flow r St. between 1Vth & Santiago Creek Bridge, protesting against removal of parking strip down the center of No. Flower St. between 1Vth & Santiago Creek Bridge and urging that tall shrubs be replaced with shrubs which will not exceed 3 ft. it mature growth, was ordered filed in the Clerk's office. A ~peti~ton containing approximately 450 signatures urging continuation of W.P.A. Rodent Control Project was received and filed, and, on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn' and carried, the Mayor and Auditor were authorized to sign W.P.A. forms for the continuation of this project in the City of Santa Ana. . On motion of Trustee Smith~ seconded by Bruns and carried, check from the Southern Counties Gas Co., in · the amount of $ 4,171.03, in paYment of 2% franchise tax obligation for the year ending December 31st, 193( was received and Clerk instructed to deposit sa~ne. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, the applications of Electrical Contractors fo permits to hang electrical signs were granted under supervision of the Electrical Inspector at the follow- ing locations: Karl's Shoe Store Southem Pacific Co. White Cafe 207 East Fourth St. 504 No. Main St. 421 West Fourth St.
