Santa Ana <br /> <br />Church of Christ. <br /> <br />In re <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Richfield 0il Co. <br /> <br />~j~Re <br /> <br />Appointment <br /> <br />Traffic Conn~lssion. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> the following Ordinance entitled: <br /> <br /> "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana prohibiting cer- <br /> tain attempts to influence police officers in the <br /> performance of their duties" <br /> <br /> was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for <br /> second reading. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "A Resolution of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana <br />determining and declaring that weeds which bear seeds of a <br />wingy or downy nature and attain such a large growth as to <br />become a fire menace when dry, and which are noxious and <br />dangerous, are growing upon certain streets, sidewalks, and <br />private property in said City of Santa Ana and are a public <br />nuisance; directing the Street Superintendent to post noti- <br />ces to destroy said weeds as required by law; fixing the tim <br />for hearing objections and protests, and directing the abat, <br />merit thereof in accordance with an Act of the Legislature of <br />the State of California entitled, ~An Act authorizing <br />palities to declare noxious or dangerous weeds growing upon <br />the streets or sidewalks or upon private p~operty within <br />Municipalities to be a public nuisance, creating a lien upon <br />the property fronting upon such streets or sidewalks, or <br />which such nuisance exists for the cost of abating the same, <br />approved May 26, 191§~, and amendments thereto# <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2§16 and <br />passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Plummet W. B~uns, Joseph P. Smith, <br /> W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br />Absent' Trustees None. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the Mayor and Auditor as sponsor's agent and fiscal officer <br />were authorized to sign application for W.P.A. Project to <br />excavate various drainage ditches and Santiago Creek Channel. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted <br />and the property in the 1900 block Cypress Avenue and des- <br />cribed as Lot ? Block A Tract 284 was ordered posted for <br />special use and the hearing date set April 8th, 1937, in <br />accordance with the application of the South Santa Ana Church <br />of Christ to erect a church. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the Richfield 0il Company were granted permission to cut <br />thirty foot curbs at the service station located at the <br />east corner of Fourth and McClay Streets, under the supervi- <br /> <br />sion of the City Engineer. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Layton, <br />Elmer E.
