On recommendation of the Planning Commission and ~n motion Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the property at the southwest corner of First and Ross Streets was with a ten foot set-back posted for business zone/and the hearing date set April l~th, 1~37, in accordance with the application of LeRoy Burns to conduct a wholesale electrical store at said location. . On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance amending Zoning Ordinance No. 809 changing the Zone upon that certain real property located at the Southeast corner of First Street and Van Ness Street, from Single Family Residence Zone to Apartment House Zone" was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1043 and .passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. · Trustees None. Noes, A~sent, Trustees None. On moZion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, the action qf Plummet W. Bruns, Police Commissioner, was approved in signing proposal wAth the Board of Supervisors relative to the City of SantaAna installing a remote control station at tee City Hall to broadcast directly over Station KGHX owned and operated by the County of Orange. # On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, the request of Shipkey & Pearson, Inc. was granted to cut the curb to thirty feet on Tenth Street at their service station located at the southwest corner of Tenth and Broadway.
