On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, the City Engineer and Attorney were authorized to prepare the south of alley ~ necessary Resolution to eliminate the loading zone/on the east side of Sycamore Street between Third and Fourth Streets . On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, the protest of J. W. Markel relative to the amount of space occupied by the two taxicab companys, was referred t6 ~he~ Street and Police Commissioners for investigation. On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, the City Attorney was instructed to prepare the necessary Resolu- tion to eliminate the loading~zone south of the parking lot on the east side of Broadway~betwe~ Third and Fourth Streets . On motion of Trustee Stuns, seconded by Smith and carried, the Chair was authorized to appoint a committee to investiga~ and check over all the loading zones with the view of elimi- natlng unnecessary zones and report back at the next meeting. Trustees Layton and Bruns were appointed as the committee. # No written or oral protests having been filed, on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the applica- tion of the South Santa Ana Church of Christ to construct a church in the 1900 block on Cypress Avenue, was referred to the Planning Commission. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the applica- tion of the South Santa Ana Church of Christ was granted to construct a church on Lot ?, Block A, Tract #284. . 0ral protests having been heard on the application of the Arrow Laundry-and Linen Supply ~m construct an addition to the present building, on motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, the application was referred to the Planning Commission for recommendation. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the applicatio~ of the Arrow Laundry and Linen Supply to construct an addi- tion to the present building was granted under special uses and covering property described as Lot 6 and 7, BlOck 7, Fruit's Addition to Santa Ana. # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the property in the rear of Lot 1818 N. S~camore Street was ordered posted for special use and the, hearing date set April 19th, 1937, in accordance with the application of Dr. John McAuley to establish his office, as recommended by the Plan- ning Commission.
