On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission was concurred with and a committee composed of Trustees Penn, Layton and the City Engineer were appointed to meet with the Planning Commission for discussion of a definite plan for a set-back survey on N. Flower Street between Eighth and Washington. . On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the request of Milton R. Foster for the City of Santa Ana to sponsor the W.P.A. M~sic Project Band and Concert for a ser- ies of broadcasts over Station K.V.O.E., was referred to the Finance Committee. # No written or oral protests having been filed, on motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the petition of property owners for the rezoning of N. Broadway between ~th 19th Streets to First Clas~ Apartment House Zone, was referre back to the Planning Commission. On recommendation of the Planning Commission and on motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, the petition of property owners was granted for the rezoning of No. Broadway between 10th and 19th Street to First Class Apartment House Zone and the City Attorney was instructed to draft and 0rdi- nance changing the zone as # On motion of Trustee Smith, granted. seconded by Bruns and carried, the petition of property of property owners for the rezoning of N. Broadway between 1Rth and 20th Streets to First Class Apartment House Zone, was referred to the Planning ComMission On recommendation of the ~lanning Commission and on motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the property on North Broadway between 19th and 20th Streets was ordered posted for First Class Apartment House Zone and the hearing date set February 1st, 1~37, in accordance with the petition of property owners. # On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, Pro Tem the Mayor/and Clerk were instructed to enter into an agree- ment with Thomas Johnson covering the rental of the dump ground for the period, February 1st, 1937 to April 1st, 1939, inclusive at $20.00 per month. . On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, Earnest Ballow was appointed as a special police officer of the City of Santa Ana as assistant to the Poundmaster.
