Com- <br />mittee being Trustees Penn and Smith. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />the communication of the California State Relief Adminis- <br />tration requesting the City to set up W.P.A. projects that <br />will employ persons on direct relief for which the State <br />will reimburse the City for their proportionate share, was <br />received, acknowledged and referred to the Council as a <br />whole for future consideration. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the City Attorney was directed to draw a contract to extend <br />the contract of Dr. C. E. Price for the period of one year <br />for garbage disposal at $225.00 per month, with a clause <br />that if the City decides to dispose of it's garbage in any <br />other manner, Mr. Price will be given ninety days notice. <br /> <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the plan and proposal of Robt. E. Walker and George M. Greer~ <br />for the disposal of the garbage from the City of Santa Ana, <br />was received, acknowledged and filed. <br /> <br />A Resolution of the Board of Supervisors of the County of <br />Orange was read, protesting against the construction of any <br />bridge across the Santa Ana River on Santa Ana Boulevard, <br />unless the construction is of a type providing an extra high <br />clearance and span to accommodate flood waters and debris. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Penn and carried, <br />received and <br />the Resolution of the Board of Supervisors was/referred to <br /> <br />the committee previously appointed, together with other <br />communications, petitions and resolutions. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the application of Santa Ana Bus Service for approval of a <br />new bus route in the northwest part of the City, according <br />to schedule submitted, was granted and service to start <br />immediately. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by La.vton and carried, <br />the minutes of the meeting of the Forestry Board of March <br />22nd, were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the application of the Santa Ana Neon Company to hang an <br />electric sign for L. H. Santee at 408 E. Fourth Street,. was <br />granted under supervision of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br /> <br />
