On motion of <br /> Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, the communica-~ <br /> tions were received, acknowledged and referred to the Council <br /> as a whole. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Penn and carried, <br /> the application by George Dunton for permit to conduct a <br /> Used Auto Lot at new location at 815 N. Main Street, former <br /> location at 805 N. Main Street, under Auto Dealer's License <br /> Ordinance No. 1029, was granted. <br /> <br />Certification to appointing authority having been filed by <br />the Civil Service Board, on mo~ion of Trustee Bruns, seconded <br />'by Layton and carried, the request of Chief of Police Howard <br />with recommendation that Herman Stahl be appointed to fill <br />vacancy for the position of patrolman, with Spanish speaking <br />qualifications, was granted. <br /> <br /> Upon recommendation of the Chief of Police and on motion of <br /> Trustee Bruns, seconded by Layton and carried, the applica- <br /> tion of E. M. Hall for appointment as special police officer <br /> without pay, was granted. <br /> <br /> # <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br /> the applications of Robert L.
