Council Chambers <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall. <br /> <br />March 6th, 1939. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Nesting called to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees Plummet W. Br~ne, Joseph P. Smith, <br /> W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None. <br /> <br />The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and <br />each member of the City Council having received a <br />copy of the Minutes, further reading of the Minutes <br />of February 20th and 27th, 1939, was dispensed with <br />and the Minutes approved on motion of Trustee Bruns, <br />seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> <br />LuRe <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />Robert L. Rogers. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Applications <br /> <br />Taxicab Drivers. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Electric Signs. <br /> <br />There being no protests, on motion of Trustee Penn, seconded <br />by Layton and carried, the application of Robert L. Arundell <br />for special use to erect a duplex on Van Ness Avenue between <br />Richland and Bishop Streets, was referred back to the Plan- <br />ning Commission for recommendation. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />There being no protests, on motion of Trustee Smith, seconde~ <br />by ,cnn and carried, the application of Eunice Wilson for <br />special use to remodel residence at 417 E. Chestnut Street <br />into a two family dwelling, was referred back to the Plan- <br />ning Commission for recommendation. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />There being no protests, on motion of Trustee Layton, seconds <br />by Bruns and carried, the application of Jasper Farney for <br />special use to erect a duplex on Van Ness Avenue between <br />Richland and Bishop Streets, was referred back to the Plan- <br />ning Commission for recommendation. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Brtms and carried, <br />the application of Emmett C. Rogers for special use to erect <br />a duplex on the southeast corner of Fifteenth and Flower <br />Streets, was referred back to the Planning Commission. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the application of M. W. Kllpatr~ck to drive a taxicab for <br />the White Cab Company, was granted on recommendation of the <br />Taxicab Commission and the application of Ray Isenberg to <br />drive taxicab for the White Cab Company was granted on pay- <br />ment of the $1.00 fee. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the applications of Electrical Contractors to hang <br />signs, were granted and ordered hung under the supervision <br /> <br />of the <br /> <br />Electrical Inspector, <br /> <br /> Joe's Service <br /> Home Oil Compa~_~ <br /> Marquis Cafe <br /> <br />as follows: <br /> <br />416 French St. <br />S.E.Cor. 17th & <br />312 N.
