On motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by B~un <br />and carried, the petition was approved and the Park Superin- <br />tendent instructed to construct a building for locker room <br />adjacent to the bowling green in Santiago Park, cost not to <br />exceed the sum of $200.00. <br /> <br />on motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br /> <br />the recommendation of the Forestry Board was approved and the <br />application of E. L. Boyes, Scout Master of Troup 31, to sell <br />peanuts, popcorn, candy and soft drinks at Santiago Ball Park <br />was granted subject to the approval of the Sanitary Inspector <br /> <br />on motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution establishing Time Limit Parklrg Zone under <br /> Section 9 of Ordinance No. 1030" <br /> <br />establishing a twenty-minute parking zone at 417 W. Fifth <br />Street, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 2632 <br />and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, <br /> W. H. Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />A petition was read, signed by Julia N. Budlong and others, <br />requesting the Council to appoint a Housing Authority of five <br />members to proceed under the terms of the Wagner-Steagall <br />Federal Low-rent Housing Act to secure Slum-clearance and <br />rent Housing for Santa Aha. On motion of Trustee Bruns and <br />seconded by Layton and carried, the Chair was authorized to <br />appoint a committee to investigate fully the said matter or <br />plan as to financial responsibility of the City and report <br />back to the City Council. Truste~Smith and Penn and Attor- <br />ney Blodget~were appointed as the committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the bid of Mrs. Leal Garbett in amount of $~98.00 covering <br />Lots 2, 9 and 22, Tract 648, Palmer Square, was received. <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the bid of Mel Tricksy in amount of $90.00 covering Lot 16, <br />Block 8, Tract 817, was received. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the bid of Charles L. Davis in amount of $600.00 covering <br />Lot l, Block B, Bessonet Tract, was received. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Smith, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the bid of R. R. Lutes in amount of $2244.37, was received <br />covering the following described property: <br /> <br /> <br />
