Underwood <br />in the sum of $650~00 and no person being present desirous <br />of raising this bid, upon motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by <br />Smith and carried, the Resolution No. 2644 accepting said <br />offer and authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to execute deed to <br />said property, was passed and adopted by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, W. H. <br /> Penn, Ernest H. Lay,on, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />On ~otion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Smith and carried, <br />the applications of the White Cab Company for taxicab stands <br />were granted at the follswlng locations: <br /> <br /> 504 E. Fourth Street, <br /> 1206 E. Fourth Street <br /> 1301 W. Fourth Street <br /> 1002 S. Main Street <br /> S. N. Corner Second & Sycamore Streets <br /> 103 E. Eighteenth Street and <br /> S. W. Corner Fourth and Main Streets. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Layton and carried, <br />the application of the White Cab Company for taxicab stand <br />at 606 N. Main Street, was denied in accordance with the <br />protest presented. <br /> <br />More time was granted Trustee Bruns to investigate the "No <br />Parking zone,, upon Seventh Street between Main an~ Sycamore <br />Streets. <br /> <br />0n motion of Trustee Layton, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution for Re-allocation of Funds under Agreement <br /> between City of Santa Ana and Department of Public Works" <br /> <br />for the improvement of North Flower Street between Eighth <br />Street and Washington Avenue for the unapportioned amount of <br />$~000.00, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. <br />26~5 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees Plummet W. Bruns, Joseph P. Smith, W. H. <br /> Penn, Ernest H. Layton, Fred C. Rowland. <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees None. <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />More time was granted the committee appointed to invesllgate <br />the matter ar plan for Slum-clearance and Low-rent Housing <br />for Santa Ana. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Penn, seconded by Bruns and carried, <br />the Council proceeded to open and canvass thirty-nine <br />absentee voters ballots on the General Municipal Election <br /> <br /> <br />
