<br /> read and Attorney instructed to give ruling in regard to
<br /> rate of pay of Georgtna L. Anderson, file clerk, Police
<br /> Dept. who is not under Civil Service; also as to authority
<br /> and method of hiring extra help in the Police Department.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and
<br /> carried, communication from A.F.Lewis, relative to
<br /> crowing of roosters, was received and filed.

<br />Commaunication from Santa Ana Navy Mothers Club #23?
<br />requesting a Proclamation regarding Navy Day, October
<br />2?th, was read, and on motion of Trustee Deckert,
<br />seconded by Dixon and carried, the communication was
<br />referred to the Chair with power to act.

<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, the reports of the Police Department and of
<br />the Poundmaster, for the month of September, 1943, were
<br />received and filed.

<br />The application of Dick Dic$inson for a license to
<br />o~erate a Swing Shift dance until 4 A.M. Sunday morning
<br />and a dance on Sunday evenings, at the V.F.W. Hall, 8th and
<br />Broadway, was re~d.

<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and
<br />carried, the co-~.mication was received and filed.

<br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, communication from the Southern California
<br />Edison Co. relative to supplemental contact rental
<br />agreement covering poles not included in the original
<br />contract, in accordance with Ordinance 1089, was
<br />referred to the City Attorney with instructions to
<br />prepare necessary Resolution.

<br />The offer bf Fidel S. Murillo and Lupe Murillo, ~husband
<br />~nd.wife, as joint tenant~, was read to purchase Lot 19,
<br />Block "Q", Emmett's Addition No. 3, in the City of Santa
<br />Aha, in the amount of $88.00.

<br />On motion of Trustee Uheney, seconded by Dixon and
<br />carried, the Resolution of Intention to Sell Real Property,
<br />as of November let, l~A3, was read, considered, designated
<br />Resolution No. ~295 and passed by the following vote:
