In Re <br /> <br />Vote of Thanks <br /> <br />Civilian Defense Workers <br /> <br />Mayor of the City ~f Santa Ana. <br /> <br />authorizing the Mayor and Clerk to enter into a lease with <br />the United States Government for a period of twenty-five <br />years, at the rate of $1.00 a year covering the encroach- <br />ment of certain buildings on a public alley extending <br />from Wright St. to Maybury St. between 4th and Palm Sts., <br />was introduced, read, considered, designated Resolution <br />No. 3306 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees <br /> <br />Absent, Trustees <br /> <br />Dale G. <br />Otto R. <br /> <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, <br />carried, a vote of thanks w~s <br /> <br />Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, <br />Haan, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman <br /> <br />seconded by Cheney and <br />extended, on behalf of <br /> <br />the Council, to Warren Webb, Chief of the Air Raid <br />Wardens, and to all Civilian Defense Workers, for the <br />work they have done over a period of more than a year <br /> <br />~ assisting a~i enforcing the Army's dim-out order. <br />,, <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br /> <br />carried, the City Council adjourned. ~ <br /> <br /> City <br /> <br />Council Chambers <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall <br /> <br />November 18th, 1943. <br /> <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, <br /> Otto R. Haan, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees None <br /> <br />The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and each <br />member of the City Council having received copies of the <br />Minutes of November 1st, 1943, further reading of the <br />Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of <br />Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Beverage <br /> <br />Application <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />~pplications <br /> <br />Taxicab Drivers <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the notification of the State Board of Equal- <br />ization of alcoholic beverage application made by Ernest <br />~. Danielson end Alma Danielson, dba The Triangle, 2321 <br />North Nafn St., was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the applications of H.B.Robinson and Harold <br />E. Fraser, to drive taxicabs, ~ere received, filed and <br />permits granted. <br /> <br /> <br />
