Smith. <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />The application of C.E.Price for renewal of garbage <br />contract for a three-year term, was received and on <br />motion of Trustee Bruns, seconded by Yost and carried, <br />the City Attorney was requested to draw a contract in <br />accordance with the offer as submitted by Nr. Price to <br />take effect April 1st, 1943. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee ~andy, seconded by Yost and carried, <br />the Chief of Police was instructed to hire seven school <br />crossing guards, for part time work, to work at school <br />crossings, and to be in the Utility Department under <br /> <br />supervision of the Police Department. Yost,Plummer W.Bruns,Allen A <br />P.Smith; Noes, Trustees None; Absent, Trustees None. <br /> <br />The request of Hunter Leach, Sergeant of Detectives, <br />Police Department, for leave of absence from Narch 14th, <br />to April 13, 194~, inclusive was received and on motion <br />of Trustee Kelsey, seconded by Nandy and carried, leave <br />of absence was grante~ subject to alSproval bf the Civil <br />Service Con:ntsston and Chief of Police. <br /> <br />The Chair granted the Committee more time to investigate <br />the furnishing of water for victory gardens. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Kelsey, seconded by Nandy and <br />carried, the City Council adjourned. <br /> <br /> City Clerk. <br /> <br />The Clerk commenced the reading of the Ninutes and each <br />member of the City Council having received copies of the <br />Ntnutes of February 1st, further reading of the ~inutes <br />was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Bruns, <br />seconded by Yost and carried. <br /> <br />Council Chamber <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall <br /> <br />February lSth, 1943. <br /> <br />V:30 P.SI. <br /> <br /> <br />
