Parker - <br /> <br />Civil Service Board <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Resolution <br /> <br />Loa~ing Zone <br /> <br />~10 Bush St. <br /> <br /> 1944, were received and filed. <br /> <br />A petition from the Santa Ana City Employees Associat~ <br />was read requesting that the Council make proper invest- <br />igation to determine the cost and feasibility of <br />with the State of California in its retirement system, <br />in order that a retirement system may be set up for all <br />City employees, and on motion of Trustee Cheney, seconde <br />by Deckert and carried, the matter was referred to the <br />Auditor with instructions that he secure all necessary <br />data in ~egard to the retirement fund and report back <br />at meeting to be held April 5rd, 1944. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br /> 0n motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and <br /> carried, the Minutes of the Executive Board of the <br /> 0utfall Sewer, held February 5rd, 1944,were received <br /> and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the Mayor and Clerk were authorized to sign <br />lease between the City of Santa Ana and the Citrus <br />Growers, Inc. c overin~ City owned Property in Tract No. <br />59, for the period of one year beginning January 1st, <br />1944, and continuing for the duration of the war and <br />six months thereafter, at the rental of $600.00 per <br />year. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, house mover,s bond of Evart V. Almas, Charles <br />F. Almas and Bruce R. Almas, co-partners, doing business <br />as Almas House Moving, of South Gate, California, in <br />the amount of $1,000.00, written by the National Surety <br />Corporation, was approved. <br /> <br />On reco~nendation of the Mayor and on motion of Trustee <br />Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, George Parker <br />was reappointed to serve on the Civil Service Board; <br />term to expire December 51st, 1949. <br /> <br />The application of Don~L. Andrews and Orson H. Hunter <br />for a 30 ft. loading zone at 510 Bush St. and co--,,micat <br />of City Engineer, together with Resolution covering a <br /> <br />24 ft. loading zone at this location, were read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Di~on and <br />carried, communications were referred to Trustee Cheney <br />to investigate and report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
