Co. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communications <br />Recreational Programs <br /> <br />No written or oral protests were received, on motion <br />of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the <br />reco~nendatio~ of the Planning Commission was concurred <br />in and the City Attorney instructed to draw proper <br />ordinance amending Eoning Ordinance No. 1074, and that <br />Sheets Nos. 4 and 40 of the Districting Map of the City <br />of Santa Ana be amended to reclassify as R-3, (for <br />convenience called Multiple Family), property located <br />on East Chestnut between Cypress and ~aple Streets. <br /> <br />The resignation of Martha E. Starkey, Secretary Civiliar <br />Defense, effective May 1st, 1944, was read, and on <br />motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the resignation was accepted with regrets and. <br />cor~uunicatiou referred to Auditor to check the length <br />of time employed and vacation allowance and to act <br />accordingly. <br /> <br />An affidavit of posting Notices to Destroy Weeds havirg <br />been file~ by H.M.Neighbour, Street Superintendent, and <br />no protests received, on motion of Trustee Dixon, <br />seconded by Cheney and carried, the following Resolution <br />entitled: <br /> <br /> "A Resolution Ordering the Street Superintendent <br /> to Abate the Public Nuisance Heretofore Declared <br /> by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, <br /> to-wit: Weeds which Bear Seeds of a Wingy or <br /> Downy Nature and Attain Such a Large Growth as <br /> to Become a Fire Menace When Dry and Which are <br /> Noxious and Dangerous, Growing Upon Certain <br /> Streets, Sidewalks and Private Property in the <br /> City of Santa Ana, by Having the Weeds Referred <br /> to Removed" <br />was introduced, re~d, considered, designated Resolution <br /> <br />No. 3335 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br />Noes, T~'ustees <br />Absent ,Trustees <br /> <br />Dale G. Haan <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, agreement between the City of Santa Ana and <br />the Pacific Electric Railway Co., relative abandonment <br />of railroad from 4th St. Santa Aha to the City of Orange <br />and abandonment of all electrical overhead from 4th St. <br />Santa Aha to connection with Southern Pacific R.~. at <br />Marlboro, and removal of switches and curves of abandore <br />railroad within the limits of 4th St. and repaving of <br />street in manner satisfactory to the City, was referred <br />to the City Attorney to report back at next meeting. <br /> <br />Communications ~rom Mark B.
