464 City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman. Present: TruStees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, Otto R. Haan, ASa Hoffman. Absent: Trustees W.J.Cheney The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of April l?th, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried. In Re Request of American Legion Auxiliary P,Me # On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the notification of the State Boar4 of Equal- ization of alcoholic beverage application made by Frank J. Ramirez, dba Temescal Cafe, 905 E. 4th St., was received and filed. A communication was read from Home Protection Service submitting a price of $2,?48.$2 covering water proofing of the City Hall. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, the Purchasing Agent was instructed to prepare plans and specifications for the calling of bids for the water proofing of the City Hall. Communication from United States Government, Office of Division Engineer, requesting that action be taken on approval of supplementary agreements to dispense with Notices of Renewals on Leases W-509-eng-1829 and W-§Og- eng-l?09 between United States Government and the City of Santa An! was read, and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, the Clerk was author- ized to advise Office of Division Engineer that Council does not wish to execute supplemental agreements on these leases up to June 50, 1966, to Dispense with Notices of Renewals. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, communication from Diehl & Co. stating that examination of books and accounts of the City of Santa Ana, for the quarter ending Dec. 51, 1945, has been completed, was received and filed. On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and carried, the request of Santa Aha Unit 151 of the ~merican Legion Auxiliary for permission to sell Memorial Poppies May 26th and 27th, 1944, was granted.
