Kellogg Post, Veteran~ <br />of Foreign Wars, for permission to sell Poppies on <br /> <br />May 28th and 29th, 1944, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, application of Henry C. Rurup to conduct a <br />co~m~unity sales yard, one day a week, at 2418 West 5th <br />St., was referred to a committee to report back at the <br /> <br />next meeting. The Chair appointed Trustees Deckert and <br />~aan on this committee. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, the request of E. D. Wheeler, fireman, for <br />permission to leave Santa Aha for Smith River on advice <br />of his physician, from early in May until some time <br />in December, was gra~nted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the application of the Powell Neon Sign Co. to <br />hang a neon sign for Associated Ambulance Service, <br />South Main St., was granted and sign ordered hung under <br />the supervision of the Electrical Inspector. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the application of William H. Jackson, to driv, <br />a taxicab for the Broadway Cab Co., was received and <br />permit granted. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />0n motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the application of the Seventh-day Adventist <br />Church, 1514 No.Broadway, to solicit funds, starting <br />about May 10th, was received and permit granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the Minutes of the Executive Board of the <br />Joint Outfall Sewer, held at Anaheim on April 6th, 1944~ <br />were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, secondedby Haan and <br />carried, the monthly reports of the Building Inspector <br />and of the City Judge, for the month of April, <br />were received and filed. <br /> <br />0n motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the Clerk was authorized to draw warrants <br />according to demands as audited by the Finance Committee <br />numbering 1918 to 2lO1 inclusive. <br /> <br /> <br />
