Edwards, Associate Directo~ <br />C.S.0. to place metal directional signs at strategic <br />corners, such signs to be put out Saturday afternoons <br />and taken down on Mondays, advising that fr~e beds are <br />available at the C.S.0. for servicemen, was referred <br />to the City Engineer with power to act. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the resignation of William J. Tway, as Chairman <br /> <br />of the Planning Commission, <br />until next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, <br /> <br />was read and action deferredl <br /> <br />seconded by Cheney and <br /> <br />carried, the monthly reports of the Building Inspector <br />and of the City Judge, for the month of May, 1944, were <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the Clerk was authorized to draw warrants <br />according to demands as audited by the Finance Committee <br />numbering 21~? to 2341 inclusive. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br /> of the meeting <br />carried, the ~inutes/of the Executive Board of the Joint <br /> <br />0utfall Sewer, held at Anaheim, on May 4th, 1944, <br /> <br />were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, <br /> <br />carried~ the report of Phil M. <br /> <br />Board, relative to various appointments and resignations <br />in the Police and Fire Dep~tments, was received, filed <br />and actions approved. <br /> <br />seconded by Chancy and <br /> <br /> Brown, Secy. Civil Servic~ <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, the City of Santa Ana was authorized to con- <br />struct a frame shop building of approximately 2280 sq. <br />ft. area, at the Joint 0utfall Sewer plant, by force <br />account, such construction to be under the supervision <br />of the Joint 0utfall Sewer Engineer, Ewald Lemcke. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication from Geo. G. Boyd, Chief of <br />Police, advising of appointment of Jack V. Claborn, as <br />patrolman, effective Nay 2~nd, l~, was received and <br />filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, <br /> <br /> seconded by Cheney and <br />communication from Robt. L.
