Traffic Safety Commission and a Traffic Safety Patrol <br /> <br />in the City of Santa Aha and Prescribing Rules and <br />Regulations Therefor. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and <br />carried, the City Council adjourned. ~ <br /> <br /> City Clerk <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees Dale G. Deckert, Wo Eugene Dixon, <br /> W. J. Cheney, Asa Hoffman. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees Otto R. Co. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Applications <br /> <br />Taxi & Bus Drivers. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Application to <br /> <br />Solicit Funds <br /> <br />A communication was read from the Pacific Electric Ry. <br />Co. protesting against practice of unlicensed parties <br />operating a limousine service upon Pacific Electric <br />property. <br /> <br />Mr. Duke of the Pacific Elect~,~e ]~$,. Co. appeared before <br />the Board and suggested that Taxicab Ordinance be <br />amended to take care of this situation. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication was referred to Attorney for <br />study with instructions to amend Taxicab Ordinance to <br />prohibit soliciting of business by unlicensed carriers. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, application of Floyd R. Spangler to drive a <br />taxicab for the Broadway Cab Co. and application of <br />Raymond Herman to drive a bus for the Santa Ana Bus <br />Service, were received and permits granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, the application of the Rescue Army, Inc. 9408 <br />So. San Pedro St., Los Angel~ s, to solicit funds was <br />granted for a period not to exceed sixty days from date. <br /> <br /> <br />
