On motion of Trustee carried, the Minutes Dixon, seconded by Cheney and of the meeting of the Executive Board of the Joint Outfall Sewer, held at Anaheim, on July 6th, 1944, were received and filed. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, the Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids covering the furnishing of materials and the install- ation, according to plans, of four heat exchanger coil units consisting of two and one-half inch wrought iron pipe assembled in units of sixteen pipes each, to be installed at the Joint Outfall Sewage Treatment Plant. Communication from C~x~ef ~f Police relative to establish- ing a loading zone at the third parking meter west of Main St. on the north side of Third St. was received and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, Clerk was instructed to request Chief of Police to contact property owner to request Council for such loading zone. On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication from Jas. Farrage relative to traffic situation in the 800 block on Bush St. and suggesting that parking on west side of Bush St. be eliminated, was received and filed. On ;motio~ of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, request of Georgina L. Anderson for a six month's leave Of absence, with privilege of extension, was denied, with regrets. ,, On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the resignation of Eldon L. Rodieck, as motor officer, in the Police Department, was accepted with regrets. On recommendation of the Chief of Police and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded byCheney and carried, the appointment of Robert D. Adams, Jr. as ~atro~man, was accepted providing the appointment has the approval of the Civil Service Board. .
