<br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and
<br />carried, the request of R.L.Montgo~aery, Garage Supt.,
<br />for a leave of absence for sixty days, effective August
<br />16th, 1944, was granted.

<br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and
<br />carried, the request of O.A. Jacobs, City Attorney, for
<br />a leave of absence for approximately thirty days,
<br />commencing August 9th, 1944, was granted.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, the request of W.E.Dixon, for a leave of absent
<br />from the State, for six weeks, beginning August 12th,
<br />1944, was granted.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by 2heney and
<br />carried, application of Ben La Monica to conduct the
<br />business of dealing in motor vehicles at 31~ East let
<br />St., was approved and Clerk instructed to issue license
<br />and permit to conduct such business and application fee
<br />deposited.
<br />
<br />Request of Consul General of Mexico, of the Central
<br />Patriotic Committee of Orange County, for permission to
<br />use the Municipal Bowl on September 15th and 16th for
<br />the celebration of Mexico,s Independence, was received
<br />and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and
<br />carried, comaunication was referred to City Auditor to
<br />check as to dates and report back at next meeting.

<br />On motion of Trumtee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and
<br />carried, the monthly reports of the Building Department
<br />for the City of Santa Aha and o f the City of Tustin,
<br />Judge's report and Police report; also annual report
<br />of the Santa Aha Public Library, were received and
<br />filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and
<br />carried, the Clerk was authorized to draw warrants
<br />
