492 In Re Ordinance Tax Rate 1944-1945 In He Water-p~.oo ling City Hall In Re Bids Waterproofing City Hall In He Appointment - Courtney Chandler Forestry Board In Re Appointments - Library Board APPROVED: City boundary of the City of Santa Ana at Mabury St., was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3555 and passed by the following vote= Ayes, Trustees Noes, Trustees Absent,Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene D~xon, W.J. Cheney, Asa Hoffman. None Otto R. Haan On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Deckert and carried, the following Ordinance entitled~ "An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana, California, Fixing the Amom~t of Money Ascertained to Carry on the Various Departments of t he City of Santa Ana, and to pay the bonded indebtedness Falling Due for the Current Year 1944-1945, and Fixing the Rate of Taxation for the Current Year 1944-1945 Designating the Number of Cents on each $100.00 for the Various Funds of said City, on the Whole of the Taxable Property of said City as Set by the County Assessor of the County of Orange, State of California, and Equalized by the Board of Supervisors of Said County, and Hereby Levied on the Whole of the Taxable Property of said City" was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. The recommendation of the Committee on water proofing of the City Hall was read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the recommend- ation was accepted and Committee instructed to prepare specifications according to their recommendations Clerk authorized to advertise for new bids. Onmotion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried, all bids were rejected covering the water- proofing of the City Hall and Clerk instructed to return checks to bidders. # On recomendation of ~he Mayor and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, Courtney Chandler was reappointed to serve as a member of the Forestry Board; term to expire June 50th, 1947. On recommendation of the Mayor and on motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, Harry L. Hanson and John D. Ball, were reappointed to serve as members of the Library Board; terms to expire June 50th, 1947. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and carried, the City Council adjourned.
