Haan <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Deckert and <br /> <br />carried, the following Ordinance entitled~ <br /> <br />"An Ordinance of the City of Santa Ana, California, <br />Fixing the Amom~t of Money Ascertained to Carry <br />on the Various Departments of t he City of Santa <br />Ana, and to pay the bonded indebtedness Falling <br />Due for the Current Year 1944-1945, and Fixing <br />the Rate of Taxation for the Current Year 1944-1945 <br />Designating the Number of Cents on each $100.00 <br />for the Various Funds of said City, on the Whole of <br />the Taxable Property of said City as Set by the <br />County Assessor of the County of Orange, State <br />of California, and Equalized by the Board of <br />Supervisors of Said County, and Hereby Levied <br />on the Whole of the Taxable Property of said City" <br /> <br />was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for <br /> <br />second reading. <br /> <br />The recommendation of the Committee on water proofing <br />of the City Hall was read and on motion of Trustee <br />Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the recommend- <br />ation was accepted and Committee instructed to prepare <br />specifications according to their recommendations <br />Clerk authorized to advertise for new bids. <br /> <br />Onmotion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, all bids were rejected covering the water- <br />proofing of the City Hall and Clerk instructed to <br />return checks to bidders. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On recomendation of ~he Mayor and on motion of Trustee <br /> <br />Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, Courtney Chandler <br /> <br />was reappointed to serve as a member of the Forestry <br />Board; term to expire June 50th, 1947. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Mayor and on motion of Trustee <br />Dixon, seconded by Deckert and carried, Harry L. Hanson <br />and John D. Ball, were reappointed to serve as members <br />of the Library Board; terms to expire June 50th, 1947. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, the City Council adjourned. <br /> <br /> <br />
