zt93 Council Chambers Santa Aha City Hall August 21st, 1944. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman. Present: Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman. Absent: Trustees W. Eugene Dixon, Otto R. Haan The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of August 7th, further reading of the Minutes w~s dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried. In Re Communication Orange Co. League of Cities In Re Communication Metropolitan Water District In Re Communication Treesweet Prod. Co. In Re Cormnunications Traffic situation 600 block Bush St. In Re Beverage Application 7:50 P.M. Co~nunication from Secy. Orange County League of Cities extending an invitation to the Council to attend meeting to be held in Seal Beach, at the lO1 Ranch located on 16th St. and 101 Highway, August 24th, at 6:45 P.M., was read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Chene and carried, comnunication was received and filed and Clerk instructed to p011 the Council and Planning Commission to determine how many members would attend. On motion of'Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication from Metropolitan Water District with reference to payment of District tax, was received and filed. Communication from Treesweet Products Co. 1060 E. 4th St requesting that diagonal parking be permitted on the south side of E. 4th St., commencing at a point 50 ft. e~st of the intersection of Santa Fe St., was read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, request was referred to Department of Public Safety. Communications from Harold C. Welch, 614 Bush St., F.R. Harwood, Postmaster and Rev. Wesley A. Havermale, Rector Episcopal Church of the Messiah, ?th and Bush Sts., were read, reference to traffic situation on Bush St. between 6th and 7th Sts., and on m~tion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, matter was referred to Department of Public Safety, and City Engineer. On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the notification of the State Board of Equal- ization of alcoholic beverage application made by Evelyn E. Rodewald, dba 0rrin's Cafe, 921 So. Main St., was received and filed.
