Deckert, W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees W. Eugene Dixon, Otto R. Haan <br /> <br />The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and each <br />member of the City Council having received copies of the <br />Minutes of August 7th, further reading of the Minutes <br />w~s dispensed with and approved on motion of Trustee <br />Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Orange Co. Orange County League of Cities <br /> extending an invitation to the Council to attend meeting <br /> to be held in Seal Beach, at the lO1 Ranch located on <br /> 16th St. and 101 Highway, August 24th, at 6:45 P.M., was <br /> read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Chene <br /> and carried, comnunication was received and filed and <br /> Clerk instructed to p011 the Council and Planning <br /> Commission to determine how many members would attend. <br /> <br /> On motion of'Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br /> carried, communication from Metropolitan Water District <br /> with reference to payment of District tax, was received <br /> and filed. <br /> <br /> Communication from Treesweet Products Co. 1060 E. 4th St <br /> requesting that diagonal parking be permitted on the <br /> south side of E. 4th St., commencing at a point 50 ft. <br /> e~st of the intersection of Santa Fe St., was read and <br /> on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br /> carried, request was referred to Department of Public <br /> Safety. <br /> <br />Communications from Harold C. Welch, 614 Bush St., F.R. <br />Harwood, Postmaster and Rev. Wesley A. Havermale, Rector <br />Episcopal Church of the Messiah, ?th and Bush Sts., were <br />read, reference to traffic situation on Bush St. between <br />6th and 7th Sts., and on m~tion of Trustee Deckert, <br />seconded by Cheney and carried, matter was referred to <br />Department of Public Safety, and City Engineer. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the notification of the State Board of Equal- <br />ization of alcoholic beverage application made by <br />Evelyn E. Rodewald, dba 0rrin's Cafe, 921 So. Main St., <br />was received and filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
