In Re <br /> <br />Bids - 4 Heat Exchanger <br /> <br />Coil Units - JoSnt Outfall <br /> <br />Sewer <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Award of Contract <br /> <br />City Advertising <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />A~vertise Bids <br /> <br />~aterproofing <br /> <br />City Hall <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Use of Bowl <br /> <br />Mexico's Independence <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Warrants <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Appoint <br /> <br />Acting Garage Supt. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Proposed <br /> <br />Curfew Ordinance <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br /> carried, the Clerk was aAthorized to open bids covering <br /> the furnishing of materials and the installation, accor¢ <br /> lng to pl.ans, of four heat exchanger coil units consist- <br /> ing of two and one-half inch wrought iron pipe assemble¢ <br /> in units of sixteen pipes each, to be installed at the <br /> Joint Outfall Sewage Treatment Plant. <br /> <br /> Pacific Plumbing Co. in the amount of $8,AAA.O0. <br /> Long Beach Iron Works, in the amount of $~,820.00. <br /> On motion o f Trustee DecCa rt, seconded by Cheney and <br /> carried, the bids were referred to the Auditor and <br /> Engineer of the Outfall Sewer to report back at the <br /> next meeting. <br /> <br /> The Auditor reported that the bid of the Santa Aha <br /> <br /> Register was approximately 18% lower than the bid of the <br /> <br /> Orange County Reporter and has a greater circulation! <br /> and recomended that contract be awarded to S.A.Registe~ <br /> On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br /> <br /> carried, the recommendation of the Auditor was concurred <br /> in and contract covering City advertising was awarded <br /> to the Santa Ana Register. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded byCheney and <br /> carried, the Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids <br /> coverin~ the water proofing of the City Hall, as per <br /> specifications as submitted by the Engineer and Chief <br /> Building Inspector. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Auditor and on motion of <br />Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br />Central Patriotic Committee of Orange County, was grante <br />permission to use the Municipal Bowl on September 15th <br />and 18th, for the celebration of Mexicots Independence. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the Clerk was authorized to issue warrants <br />according to demands as audited by the Finance Committee <br />numbering ~79 to ~85 inclusive. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, Vern Downs was appointed Acting Garage <br />Superintendent during absence of R.L.Montgom~ry, who was <br />granted a leave of absence for sixty days. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the Clerk was instructed to refer the proposed <br />Curfew Ordinance to City Attorney with instructions to <br />prepare in proper form and present at next meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
