McFadden <br /> <br />et al <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Minutes - Joint <br /> <br />Outfall Sewer Board <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Appointment <br /> <br />Police Officer <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Petition - <br /> <br />1st & Lyon Sts. <br /> <br />in Re <br /> <br /> Mover's <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Chancy and <br />carried, the report of L.H.Eckel, County Auditor, show- <br />ing City of Santa Ana Valuations for years 1944-48, was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication from Water Supt., together with application <br />for use of Metropolitan water by A.J. McFadden, et al <br />was read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by <br />Chen~y and carried, the Mayor was authorized to sign the <br />agreement with A.J.McFadden et al for use of Metropolitan <br />water for irrigation on the thirty acres located at the <br />southeast corner of Fairview and Bristol Sts. and <br />Engineer instructed to enter into agr~ement with <br />Metropolitan Water District for 10" pipe connection to <br />the Orange County Feeder line at the corner of Fairview <br />and Bristol Streets. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Chancy and <br />carried, the Minutes of the meeting of the Executive <br />Board of the Joint Outfall Sewer, held at Anaheim, <br />August 5rd, 1944, were received and filed. <br /> <br /> Communication f~ Chief of Police advising of appoint- <br /> ment of Louis K. Stevenson, as patrolman, was read and <br /> on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Chancy and <br /> carried, appointment was held up until such time as <br /> <br />Mr. Stevenson has had a physical ~amination in accord- <br />ance with rules and regulations covering Civil Service <br />employees and such report submitted to Civil Service <br />Board; also, Clerk instructed to notify the Chief of <br />Police that this rule must be followed in employing new <br />officers. <br /> <br /> A petition was read signed by 52 residents and property <br /> owners in the vicinity of 1st & Lyon Sts. requesting <br /> that a warning sign be placed at this corner in order to <br /> eliminate traffic hazards. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the Clerk was instructed to inform the Chief of <br />Police of complaint received and request that proper <br />precautions be taken to eliminate this hazard; also matter <br />was referred to Engineer for checking as to safety signs <br />and proper signs erected, if necessary. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, house mover,s bond of S.F.Sorenson, in the amount <br />of $1,000.00, written by the Royal Indemnity Co. was <br />approved. <br /> <br /> <br />
