On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried the application of W~lliam G. PopeJoy to drive a taxicab for the Broadway Cab Company, was tabled for two weeks and further study. On recommendation of the Police Department and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Haan and carried, the applica- tion of John Bruce Thompson £or a permit to drive a taxicab for the Broadway Cab Company, was denied. . On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and carried, the Minutes of the meeting of the Executive Board of the Joint 0utfall Sewer, held September 7th, 1944, at Anaheim, were received end filed without approval. ,, On recon~endation of the Chief of Police and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and carried, the emer- gency appointment of Francis M. Pitts as police officer, was approved. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Haan and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution Concerning Parking Limitations nnder Ordinance No. 1030" establishing a twenty minute parking on both sides of Bush Street between Sixth Street and Seventh Street andabandoning the ten minute parking zone previously established, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3387 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Eugene Dixon, 0tto.R. Haan, W. J. Cheney, Asa Hoffman. Trustees None. Absent, Trustees None. Noes, On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon and carried the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution Coucerning Parking Limitations under Ordinance No. 10~O" eliminating and abandoning diagonal parking on the East sid of Bush Street between Sixth and Seventh Streets, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 5358 and passedby the follow~g vote: Ayes, Trustees Dale G. Deckert, W. Noes, Haan, Trustees None. Eugene Dixon, Otto R. W. J. Cheney, Asa Hoffman. Absent, Trustees Nme.
