<br /> On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, requests
<br /> were referred to Chief of Police with power to act.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br /> request of G.W.Usry Company for permission to park a 30 ft, traile
<br /> and 10 ft. truck at the Northeast corner of 4th and Broadway, Jul
<br /> 19th, 20th and 21st, was denied.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, claim
<br />
<br /> of Luella McCall, for dsmages, in the amount of~$2,375.00, 'for
<br />injuries sustained-when she fell on the sidewalk at ll6 No.Broadws
<br />was referred to the City Attorney.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, Map
<br />Tract No. 128~, covering improvements on Patton St., from Anahurst
<br />St. to Delhi Road ~vas approved subject to City Engineer's checkin
<br />of installation of sewer laterals, and bond in the amount of
<br />$7,650.00, submitted by Stephens Homes, Inc., was accepted.
<br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, the
<br />annual report of the Library for 1948-49 and reports of Police
<br />Dept. and Juvenile Bureau, for month of June, were received and
<br />filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, th
<br />recommendation of the Planning Commission that a variance be
<br />granted to Lloyd G. Welch and A.G. Eldred for Orange Service Co.
<br />Inc., to permit dwellings to be erected closer to the front
<br />property line than presently permitted, but not less than 25 feet
<br />therefrom on all lots in Tract No. 1318 on which front yards of
<br />more than 25 feet are required for such use, said Tract being
<br />adjacent to English St. between 5th and 8th Sts., was approved and
<br />variance granted.

<br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Chandler and carried,
<br />the following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution of the City Council of the City
<br /> of Santa Ana adopting budget and approving
<br /> memorandum of agreement for expenditure of
<br /> gas tax allocation for major city streets"
<br />
<br />for the fiscal year 1950, was read, considered, designated
<br />Resolution No. 3813 and passed by the following vote:

<br />between Broadway and Birch St., located as follows: the west 43
<br />feet, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3814 and
<br />passed by the following vote:
