On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, Trustee Cheney was appointed Mayor Pro-Tem in the absence of Mayor Smith. In Re Resol. No. 3837 Request. Co.of Orange to grant aid to City - Improve.W.17th St. On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, a Resolution accepting the work of improvement and resurfacing of West Seventeenth Street and requesting the County of Orange to approve proposed work for the construction of curb and surfacing of the shoulder of a portion of West Seventeenth Street and to such improvement to be in the General County interest and to grant, for such work the sum of $3,989.94 to said City from the Cali~ Highway User's Tax Fund, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3837 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, W.J.Cheney. Noes, Trustees None Absent, Trustees R. Carson Smith, Courtney R. Chandler On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the City Council APPROVED: ....
