Bathke <br /> <br />In Re <br />Monthly <br />Reports <br /> <br />In Re <br />Warrants <br /> <br />In Re <br />Taxicab <br />Applications <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br />Resolution of the Board of Supervisors reference apportionment of <br />California Highway User's Tax Fund for improvement of West 17th <br />St., was approved and Clerk to notify Board of Supervisors of <br /> <br />acceptance. <br />I' <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, Mayor <br /> No. 12630, <br />and Clerk were authorized to execute lease/between City of Santa <br /> <br />Ana and Pacific Electric Railway Co., covering a triangularly <br />shaped~parcel of land being a portion of Pacific Electric Railway <br />Company's Newport Beach line right-of-way, westerly of Santa Aha <br />River Flood Control Channel, south side of right-of-way, beginning <br />October 1st, 1949 and ending September 30th, 1950, at rental of <br />$5.00 per annum or fraction thereof. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Reed, <br />seconded by Martin and carried, the bid of S.S.Zarubica, in the <br />amount of $27,965.58, was accepted for the construction of a <br /> <br />sanitary sewer on Bristol St. between Delhi Road and Edinger Stree <br />,, <br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Reed, <br />seconded by Martin and carried, the bid of A.H.Famularo, in the <br />amount of $15,590.82, was accepted for the construction of a storm <br />sewer on Wilshire Ave. from Bristol to Towner Street. <br />Communication addressed to County of Orange from Standard Oil Co. <br />was read advising of surrender of their interest in oil and gas <br />lease dated Sept. 25, 19~5 between County of Orange and City of <br />Santa Ana, as Lessor, and Atlantic Oil Co., as Lessee, which lease <br />was assigned to Standard Oil Co. on Jan. 14, 1947, only as it <br />covers Parcels 7 to 12, both inclusive. On motion of Trustee <br />Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, communication, together <br /> <br />with duplicate copy of Lease, were received and filed. <br />,, <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, claim <br /> property <br />of Robert Bachelor for/damages, in the amount of $434.64, was <br /> <br />referred to the City Attorney. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br />application of Ralph Heller to conduct the business of dealing in <br />motor vehicles at 1025 So. Main Street, was granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and ~carrted, the <br />application of Carl R. Bathke to conduct the business of dealing <br />in motor vehicles at 310 E. 3rd St., and at 315 So. Main St., was <br />~ranted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the <br />reports of the Building Department and Judgers office, for the <br /> <br />month of September, 1949, were received and filed. <br />,, <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the <br />demands as audited by the Finance Committee were approved and <br /> <br />Clerk authorized to issue warrants covering deman4s. <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the <br />applications of Rodney D, Hogeland, Robert Emmett Lambert, Geo. L. <br />Felton and Grover C. Davidson, to drive taxicabs, were granted and <br />permits ordered issued. <br /> <br /> <br />
