<br /> Communication was read from Chad M. Harwood, M.D. reference heavy

<br /> truck travel on North Broadway between 8th and 17th Streets. On

<br />motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried,

<br />Chairman was authorized to appoint a committee to investigate this
<br />matter and report bac~. Chairman appointed Trustee Martin,

<br /> Chief of Police and City Engineer, as committee.

<br />Cormaunication was read from Robert E. Crowley, Attorney, on behalf
<br />of Charlie Wolf, stating that a large shade tree located at 219 E.
<br />Chestnut St., is in a dangerous condition and should be removed.
<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried,
<br />communication was received, filed and copy ordered forwarded to
<br />Forestry Board for their action~
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br />request of H.M.Neighbour, Water Superintendent, for permission to
<br />attend the American Water Works Association meeting at Sacramento,
<br />
<br />Oct. 25th through 29th, was granted, with expenses paid.

<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried,
<br />request of Christ Missionary & Industrial College, of Jackson,
<br />for permission to raffle off an automobile, for the benefit of
<br />charity, was denied.
<br />
<br />Communication was read from Rainbow Advertising Co. stating it was
<br />their understanding that clause 3e of Section ll~ Ordinance No.
<br />1247, dealing with the approval of the Pacific Electric and the
<br />Bus Company to the location of every bench was to be repealed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br />Chairman was authorized to appoint a committee to study this
<br />matter and report back at the next meeting. Chairman appointed
<br />Trustee Cheney, City Engineer and Attorney, as committee.
<br />Communication was read from City Engineer recommending that two
<br />poles of the Southern California Edison Co., located in the p
<br />lot south of Walnut, between Flower and Patton Sts., be removed
<br />and that easement be granted. On motion of Trustee Chandler,
<br />seconded by Martin and carried, recommendation was approved and
<br />~roper authorities authorized to execute the easement.
