(Memo 16) In Re Reouest SAlvation Army On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, communication from 0ounty Clerk, together with certified copy of minute order passed by the Boar~ of Supervisors November 22nd, 1949, reference cancellation of taxes assessed against Citrus Growers, .Inc, covering personal property as shown by Tax Bill No. ,1.3183, Vo 7-238-SAC; also certified copy of.minute order of Board of Supervisors reference cancellation of taxes on that portion of Lot "A" of Stafford and_Tustin Tract assessed against J.E.Prentice were received and filed. # On motion of T~ustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, a letter to the Board of Supervisors was authorized stating the City has acqu%red property described as: Park Tr. W}, Lots 3, 4 and 5 and Pa~k Tract Lot 6, from the Santora Company, for parking lot put-poses, and request cancellation of that portion of taxes assessed against the Santora Company. . On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, a letter to the Board of Supervisors was authorized stating the City has acquired property described as: A strip of land 60 feet in width being 30 feet on each side of the following described center lines Beginning at the southeast corner of Tract No. 557, as shown on a map recorded in Book 18, pa~e 25, Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, thence southerly along the south- erly extended east line of Lot E of said Tract 557 to an inter- section with the center line of Edinger Street, excepting that portion of Edinger Street previously g~anted for street purposes , reserving and excepting the existing underground pipe line for irrigation pumposes, ~unning in an easterly and westerly direction t~ough and across the above described strip land near the north line thereof and the right to use and the same, from Madeltne B. Harding, for street purposes for a portion of a street to be known as Towner Street, and request cancellation of that portion of taxes assessed against Madeline B. Harding. Communication was read from City Engineer regarding Memo 15 once overtime worked by employees on holidays which is to be compensated by equivalent time off within one year. On motion of T~ustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, City Engineer was instructed to operate his departments, i~cluding Water ment, as previously operated, until such time as corrective measures can. be made. . Communication was read from City Engineer regarding Memo 16 enos parking of city owned automobiles in City garage at night, On motion of Trustee Nam.tin, seconded by Reed and carried, Memo 16 shall remain in effect, as previously w~ltten, and City owned cars are to be parked in City garage at night. . Communication was read from Salvation Army requesting that Edison Company unloading zone on North Sycamore Street be established as a one-hour zone. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by
