Harding <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Cizy Engr. <br />(Memo 15) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />City Engr. <br />(Memo 16) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Reouest <br />SAlvation Army <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, <br />communication from 0ounty Clerk, together with certified copy of <br />minute order passed by the Boar~ of Supervisors November 22nd, <br />1949, reference cancellation of taxes assessed against Citrus <br />Growers, .Inc, covering personal property as shown by Tax Bill No. <br />,1.3183, Vo 7-238-SAC; also certified copy of.minute order of Board <br />of Supervisors reference cancellation of taxes on that portion of <br />Lot "A" of Stafford and_Tustin Tract assessed against J.E.Prentice <br /> <br />were received and filed. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, a <br />letter to the Board of Supervisors was authorized stating the <br />City has acqu%red property described as: Park Tr. W}, Lots 3, 4 <br />and 5 and Pa~k Tract Lot 6, from the Santora Company, for parking <br />lot put-poses, and request cancellation of that portion of taxes <br /> <br />assessed against the Santora Company. <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, a <br />letter to the Board of Supervisors was authorized stating the <br />City has acquired property described as: A strip of land 60 feet <br />in width being 30 feet on each side of the following described <br />center lines Beginning at the southeast corner of Tract No. 557, <br />as shown on a map recorded in Book 18, pa~e 25, Miscellaneous <br />Maps, Records of Orange County, thence southerly along the south- <br />erly extended east line of Lot E of said Tract 557 to an inter- <br />section with the center line of Edinger Street, excepting <br />that portion of Edinger Street previously g~anted for street <br />purposes , reserving and excepting the existing underground <br />pipe line for irrigation pumposes, ~unning in an easterly and <br />westerly direction t~ough and across the above described strip <br />land near the north line thereof and the right to use and <br />the same, from Madeltne B. Harding, for street purposes for a <br />portion of a street to be known as Towner Street, and request <br />cancellation of that portion of taxes assessed against Madeline <br />B. Harding. <br /> <br />Communication was read from City Engineer regarding Memo 15 <br />once overtime worked by employees on holidays which is to be <br />compensated by equivalent time off within one year. On motion <br />of T~ustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, City Engineer <br />was instructed to operate his departments, i~cluding Water <br />ment, as previously operated, until such time as corrective <br /> <br />measures can. be made. <br />. <br />Communication was read from City Engineer regarding Memo 16 <br />enos parking of city owned automobiles in City garage at night, <br />On motion of Trustee Nam.tin, seconded by Reed and carried, Memo <br />16 shall remain in effect, as previously w~ltten, and City owned <br /> <br />cars are to be parked in City garage at night. <br />. <br />Communication was read from Salvation Army requesting that Edison <br />Company unloading zone on North Sycamore Street be established <br />as a one-hour zone. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by <br /> <br /> <br />
