No. 3727 <br />Establish loading zone <br />Spurgeon St. <br /> <br /> the State regulations,~ was received and filed. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br /> resignation of R.D.Peterson, Jr. as member of Recreation Board wa~ <br /> accepted with regret and Clerk to write letter of appreciation to <br /> Mr. Peterson for his services. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br /> Mrs. Edward Milligan was appointed as a member of the Recreation <br /> Board to fill vacancy created by resignation of R.D.Peterson, Jr. <br /> term to expire December 2nd, 1949. <br /> <br /> Communication was read from Fire Chief with reference to holidays <br /> and vacation time off together for the firemen, and on motion of <br /> Trustee Mandy, seconded by Cheney and carried, matter was tabled <br /> for two weeks for further study. <br /> <br /> Communication was read from Chief of Police requesting additional <br /> classification compar%ble to Resolution No. 3723, and on motion <br /> of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, matter was <br /> referred to Civil Service Board and Chief of Police instructed to <br /> direct such request to the Board. <br /> <br /> The Clerk read petitions containing approximately $34 names favor. <br /> lng renewal of lease to Citrus Growers for Mexican National Camp <br /> at Delhi. This being the night s et for hearing protests, <br /> <br />Ernest Barrett, Attorney, called upon the following persons who <br /> <br /> stated their reasons for opposing the renewal of such lease: <br /> Abernathj, <br />Mrs. Hunter, Messrs./Campos, Bill White, Amos Lopez and A.L.Olivex <br /> <br />Mr. Graham, Mgr. Citrus Growers stated his reasons for continuing <br />the camp and advised that he had made numerous contacts for other <br />locations. Mrs. Torres stated she had no objection to location <br /> <br /> of camp. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and <br />carried, hearing was closed and lease to be taken under advisemen! <br />Communication was read from Herbert L. Miller requesting perm~ssi¢ <br />to depress the curb on Spurgeon Street between 2nd and 3rd Streets <br />adjacent to entrance d.riveway of new Bus Depot. On recommendatior~ <br />of the City Engineer and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by <br />Mandy and carried, request was granted. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Wesley Farney requesting permission <br />to widen the approach to the Union Bus Depot, on the southeast <br />corner of 3rd and Spurgeon Streets, from 28 feet to 40 feet, and <br />on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, request <br />was granted. <br /> <br />Communication wss read from Union Bus Depot requesting a loading <br /> £ <br />zone on Spurgeon Street, and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded <br /> <br />by Mandy and carried, the following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution Concerning Parking Limitations , ~ Under Ordinance No. 1030" <br /> <br />establishing a loading zone on the west side of Spurgeon Street <br />between 2nd and Srd Streets, located as follows: The south 27 fe~ <br />of the north 59 feet, was read, considered, designated Resolution <br />No. 3727 and passed by the following vote: <br /> <br /> <br />
