Reed, <br />Rj Carson Smith. <br />None <br />None <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, Attorney <br />was instructed to prepare Resolution to quit claim easements on Lo <br />13, Block "A", Tract 187 and Lot 26, Block "A", Tract 62V for <br />abandonment of sewer easement, 10th and Artesia Sts., and any <br />expense to be paid by G.V.Mason et ux and 0rvin S. Hunt et ux, <br /> <br />owners of property. <br />. <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br />"A Resolution ordering City Clerk to <br />publish the list of names of election <br />officers appointed and the polling places <br />designated for the General Municipal <br />Election to be held on the 12th~day of <br />April, 1949" <br /> <br />was read, <br /> <br />the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br />considered, designated Resolution No. 3754 and passed by <br /> <br />W.J.Cheney, Courtney R. Carson Smith. <br />None <br />None <br /> <br /> Noes, Trustees <br /> Absent, Trustees <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, the <br />Clerk was authorized to advertise for bids for a six-cylinder <br />four-door 1949 automobile for use of the Police Department; bids <br />to be opened March 21st, 1949. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, <br />Mayor and Clerk were authorized to execute lease dated January 1st <br />1949, between City of Santa Aha and Citrus Growers, Inc., for <br />Mexican National Camp at Delhi. <br /> <br />On recommendation of ~he committee and on motion of Trustee <br />Chandler, secosded by Cheney and carried, the bid of the Pacific <br />Southwest Pipe Co., in the amount of $3,646.00 was accepted cover- <br />ing the furnishing of steel poles. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, <br />communication from Fire Chief, together with proposed amendment to <br />Ordinance No. 864, reference "Serve-Yourself" Service Stations, <br />wac referred to Council for further study. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, Chairman <br />was authorized to enter into escrow with Orange County Title Co., <br />for right-of-way on that portion of Flower Street formerly owned <br />by the Haven Seed Co., and now owned by James B. Utt. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the <br />was instructed to request the State Highway Commission to remove <br />the physical barriers on South Main Street between Anahurst Place <br />and Delhi Road, as recommended by the Traffic Safety Commission <br />and petition of property owners fronting on South Main Street, and~ <br />to further request the painting of white traffic stripes in place <br />of the barriers. <br /> <br /> <br />
