On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried, the Clef was authorized to advertise for bids covering the furnishing of gasoline for twelve months period, beginning April 18th, 194~; bids to be opened April 4th, 1949. A petition was read signed by twenty-two residents and property owners protesting erection of a Church at 801 Halladay Street. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the recommendation of the Planning Commission that a variance be grant~ to Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints to permit construct. ion of Church at 601 Halladay, was approved, with certain restrict. ions, and variance granted. Bristol St., was approved and variance denied. , Communication and Resolution No. ~4~ of the Planning Commission recommending amendment to Zoning Ordinance by reclassifying certai~ property, being a five acre parcel at the northeast corner of Sullivan and First Streets, from the R-9 to the M-1 District, in accordance with application of R. Haster, were read and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the Clerk was.instructed to publish a notice of hearing in a newspaper of general circulation, ten days prior to the next meeting of the Council on April 4th, 1949, relative to reclassification of above ~roperty. Communication and Resolution No. 948 of the Planning Commission recommending amendment to Zoning Ordinance permitting mortuaries the C-~, M-l, or ~-~ Districts, with certain restrictions, were read and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the Clerk was instructed to publish a notice of hearing in a newspaper of general circulation, ten days prior to, the next meeting of the Council on April 4th, 1949, relative to reclass- ification of above.property. On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Mandy and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution Concerning Parking Limitations Under Ordinance No. 1030"
