<br /> removal of physical barriers on South Main St., and on motion of
<br /> Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried, communication was
<br /> r~ceived, filed and Clerk instructed to forward copy of communica
<br /> to Traffic Safety CoMmission for further action.

<br /> On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Chandler and carried,
<br /> communication from Calumpit Camp No. 76 expressing appreciation
<br /> of service .and cooperation of Police Dept. in furnishing an escort
<br /> in funeral cortege, was received and filed.
<br />
<br /> On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carried,
<br /> communication from Public Utilities Commission reference protest
<br /> of City of Santa Ana relative proposed abandonment of Pacific
<br /> Electric Ry. Co. service, was received and filed.

<br /> It was moved by Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and carried,
<br /> that a committee be appointed to obtain a reputable Water Attorne
<br /> to make a study of water rights of the City in the underground
<br /> basin, stating his fees, and to re_port back for acceptance or
<br />
<br />rejection-of recommendation.

<br />of Earl Vinson, 113-15 French St. for a 20 minute parking zone,
<br />was referred to committee with power to act. Chairman appointed
<br />Trustee Cheney and City Engineer, as committee.

<br />On motion of Trusbee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried,
<br />request of Earl 0. Conrad Jr. forpermission to obtain permits to
<br />close the approach from Main Street, 16 ft., and extend the drive-
<br />in entrance on the Berkeley St. side, 16 ft., making 36 feet
<br />overall, was referred to committee with power to act. Chairman
<br />appointed Trustee Cheney and City Engineer, as committee.

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, request
<br />of American Legion Auxiliary to sell Memorial Day Poppies, May
<br />26th and ?~th inclusive, was granted.
