<br />Communication and Resolution No. 229 of the Planning Commission
<br />recommending that the Use Districting Ordinance No. 1074 be
<br />amended to permit offices of dentists, physicians, and others
<br />engaged professionally in any legalized form of healing on certai
<br />property along portions of Spurgeon Street, French Street, and
<br />Mortimer Street, as permitted in the R-3 Multiple-Family Residenc,
<br />District, were read and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by
<br />cheney and carried, the Clerk was instructed to publish a notice
<br />of hearing in a newspaper of general circulation, ten days prior
<br />to the next meeting of the Council on February 7th, 1949, relati~
<br />to reclassification of property.
<br />
<br />Communication and Resolution No. 228 of the Planning Commission
<br />recommending amendment to Zoning Ordinance by reclassifying
<br />certain property described as Lots 7, 8, 9, 10, ll, 12 and the
<br />easterly 8 feet of Lot 13, all in B$ock "E" of South Santa Ana,
<br />from R-1 Residence District to the C-2 Commercial District, in
<br />accordance with application 'of Joe. M. Amstadt, were read and on
<br />motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the Clerk
<br />was instructed to publish a notice of hearing fna newspaper of
<br />general circulation, ten days prior to the next meeting of the
<br />Council on February 7th, 1949, relative to reclassification of
<br />above property.

<br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the
<br />following Resolution entitled:
<br />
<br /> "Resolution Accepting Corporation Deed"
<br />
<br />from The Recollect Augustinian Fathers, conveying to the City the
<br />west 10 feet of Lot 9, Block "B", of Bartlett's Addition, was
<br />read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3731 and passed by
<br />
<br />the following vote:
