<br />reading.

<br />On motion ef T~ustee 0handler, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br />appointment of Frank L. Bowman, as a member of the Recreation
<br />Commission, for a four year te~m, effective December 3rd, 1949,
<br />
<br />was confirmed.

<br />On motion of T~ustee C~--dler, seconded by Cheney and carried,
<br />the recommendation of the Building Inspector and Fire Chief was
<br />accepted that date be extended to February 1st, 1950 in order
<br />that owners of buildings where social activities are held may
<br />
<br />make necessary improvements and provide adequate exits..

<br />On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Reed and carried, the
<br />motion made at meeting of the Council held December 5th, 1949,
<br />was rescinded and permission granted League of United Latin
<br />American Citizens to conduct a public d~uoe at the V.F.¥~ Hall,
<br />
<br />December 31st, 1949.

<br />On reco~mmendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee
<br />Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, the following Resolutio!
<br />entitled:

<br />establishing a no parking zone on the west side of South Main
<br />Street between Commercial -w&~P~mo~a Streets, located as follows:
<br />the north 100 feet of the south 580 feet, and, on the east side
<br />of South Main Street between Berkeley and Pomona Streets, located
<br />as follows: the north 60 feet of the south 117 feet, was read,
<br />considered, designated Resolution Nq,. 388? and passed by the
<br />following vote:

<br />Pine Street from the west side of Parton to the east side of
<br />Flower Street marked off, during the hours of 12:45 P.M. and
<br />
<br />3:40 P.M. Monday ~hroughFriday, for driving training program~
<br />
<br />was granted, without cost to the City.
