Broadway The oral report of the City Engineer was heard giving estimated costs of eliminating center parkway on No. Flower St., filling in area with a concrete rock base or narrowing the parkway. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, matter was referred to Traffic Safety Commission for study and reoommendatioh. # The City Attorney outlined proper procedure to follow in order to secure rental de-control in the City, and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded b~ Martin and carried, communication from Santa Ama Board of Realtors requesting Council to set a public hearing date in order to secure rental de-control, was received and filed # The Chief of Police reported that a gentlemen's agreement had been reached reference request of the Salvation Army that Edison Company loading zone on North Sycamore Street be established as a one-houi- loading zone, and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, communication was received and filed. # On motion of T~Astee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution declaring through streets in the City of Santa Aha# declaring Flower Street, from the north line of Edinger Stree~ to the north line of Delhi Road~ except at the intersection of St. Gertrude Place, and at Delhi Road, being that portion within city limits of the City of Santa Aha extending from the east line of Bristol Street to the wes~ line of Main Street, and all south bound traffic shall stop before entering the intersection, was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 3888 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees W.J.~heney, Courtney R. Chandler, Job_n W. Martin Jr., Virgil N. Reed, Allen A. Mandy. Noes, Trustees None Absent, Trustees None On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, Minute Order dated February 2nd, 1948 .requ~tring . approval of Council on all requests for purchase of equipment in amounts.of~$500.00 was rescinded to allow approval of such purchases by obtaining the signatttres of three Councilmen. # On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the City Engineer was instructed to install a street light at the corner of Delhi Rosd and Rousselle Street. # On motion of Trustse Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the City Attorney was instructed to prepare a Resolution renaming a portion of SouthlBroadway which angles over to and Joins South Main Street be named #Broadway Place#, and that that portion of South Broadway which is practically parallel to Bouth Main Street and lying south of Anahurst Place be known as South Broadway. # On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the City Council adjourned.
