Council Chamber Santa Aha City Hall January 16, 1950. 2:00 P.M. City Council met in regular session. Meeting called to order by the Mayor. Present: Trustees Absent: Trustees W.J.Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler, John W. Martin Jr., Virgil H. Reed, Allen A. Mandy. None Each member of the City Council having received copies of the Minutes of January 3, 1950, further reading of the Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of' Trustee Cl~andler, seconded by Cheney and carried. # In Re On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, Bid Audio communication over present fire alarm system the Clerk was authorized to open- the one bid to furnish, deliver and install transmitting ur~lts over present fire alarm system, as follows~ Bid of The Gamewell Company: To furnish, deliver and install transmitting units for present fire alarm system, in the amount of $2,613.00. Certified check in the amount of $270.00 accompanied bid. on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, bid wa referred to committee for checking and to report back. On motion of Truseee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, th. recommendation of the Planning Oommission denying the Council's request for a change of District classification of property at the northeast corner of No. Main St. and Santa Ana Blvd., was In Re Communication Bekins Van & Storage Co. accepted. # On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and carried, communication from Bekins Van & Storage Co., amending their pro- posal of October 21, 1949, for a zone variance which will permit erection of a household goods storage depository on. Main St., In Re Minutes J.O.Sewer was received and filede # On motion cf Trustee Reed, seconded by Cheney and carried, the Minutes of the Executive Board of the Joint Outfall Sewer Meeting~ held at Anaheim Jan. 5 and Jan. 12, 1950, were received, approved In Re Cancellation of taxes - Cl~y owned parking lot; Property M.B.Harding and filed. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, communication from Board of Supervisors adv,'sing cf cancellation of taxes on City owned parking lot located on W. 3rd St., and ~or~ property of Madeline B. Harding being a strip of land 60 ft. in width being 30 ft. on each side of following described center lin~ beginning at the southeast corner of Tract No. 557, thence south- erly along the southerly extended east line of Lot "E" of Tract 557 to intersection with center line of Edinger St., was received In Re Communication Southwest Airways Co.
