In Re Appointment E.M.Sundquist Library Board ,In Re Water Pipe Resolution No. 3891 and passed by the following vote: Ayes, Trustees Noes, Trustees Absent, Trustees Courtney R. Chandler, John W. Martin Jr., Virgil H. Reed, Allen A. Mandy. None W.J.Cheney On motion of Trustee 0handler, seconded by Reed and carried, the following Ordinance entitled: "An Ordinance of Santa Aha, California, fixing and establishing the name of a certain street as South Broadway and changing the name of a portion of South B~oadway to Broadway Place" was introduced, read, considered and placed on file for second reading. # On motion of Trustee Martin, seconded by Chandler and carried, the recommendation of the Traffic Safety Commission was upheld and request of Elizabeth Groff for installation of stop signs at West Chestnut and Shelton and at West Chestnut and Baker Streets, was denied. On recom~endation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the bid of Pacific Union Metal Company, for 30 Marbelite, design#4193-BU42S mounting height 2017" at $118.90 each, was accepted covering light standards to be installed in Santa Ana Memorial Park. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the resig~ation of W.H.Spurgeon Jr., as a member of the Library Board was accepted with regrets and Clerk instructed to write a letter to Mr. Spurgeon thankinghlm for his services. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, Sidney Lowry was reappointed, as a member of the Civil Service Board; term to expire December 31st, 1954. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, E.M.S~ndquist was appointed, as a member of the Library Board, to fill vacancy created by resignation of Lyle Mitchell; term to expire June 30th~ 1952. On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the City Engineer was instructed to keep the water pipe for general use of 0ity requirements which was originally purchased for the Southeast Sewer District.
