A petition was read si~ned by ten property owners in the 2000 bloc South Rousselle St., requesting *~ha~ adequate street lights be installed, On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, City Engineer was authorized to make installation of such lights. # A petition was read signed by eight business persons on Main Stree' urging the Council to request State Highway Department to widen Main Street to the extent of set-back provisions now in effect and reserved for that purpose, using State Highway funds. On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, communication was tabled until next meeting. # On recommendation of the.City Engineer and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the Clerk was authorized t( advertise for bids covering the furnishing of 5,000 feet of 12 inch, bell and spigot enameline cast iron pipe, class 150, manufactured in ~ocor~ance with Federal Specifications W~-P-421 Type I or Type II; bids to be opened January 3rd, 1950. . On recommendation of the City Engineer, and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the City Treasurer was authorized to withdraw $50,000.00 of bond issue money now invested in Government Bonds and deposit said amount in the Storm Sewer Construction Fund. # On motion of T~stee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the reports of the Building Department, Judge's office, Police-Depart- and ment.,~/J~venile Bumeau, for the month of November, 1949, and report~ for the Mosquito Abatement District for the period June to September, 1959, were received and filed. # On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the demands as audited.by the Finance Committee were approved and Clerk authorized to issue warrants covering demands. # The recommendation of the Planning Commission that the Commission initiated application be denied to reclassify certain properties on the four corners of Anahurst and Flower Streets, from R-1 residence to the "C" Commercial District was read and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, application for change of.zone wae denied.and recommendation upheld. # On motion of T~ustee Reed, seconded by Martin and carried, communication from City Engineer recommending that Flower Street, from the north line of Edinger Street to the north line of Delhi Road, and that portion of Delhi Road lying within the City Limits from the east line of Bristol Street to the west line of Main Street, together with Resolutiondeclaring such streets as through streets, were refer-reA to the Traffic Safety Commission for recommendation. # On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried, the following Resolution entitled: "Resolution concerning parking limitations under Ordinance No. 1030"
